Our passion for these disciplines contributes to Bible community.
Our shared knowledge is primarily structured around our formal church teaching curriculum. We have also included ministry wisdom gained informally from our daily life together.
Foundations
Our studies are grounded upon Hermeneutics and Exegesis; Biblical Languages; Einleitungswissenschaft (introductory science); Biblical Theology.
OT Studies
ncBc’s Biblical Studies begin with those relating to the Old Testament (OTS; the Hebrew Bible) and the Intertestamental period (ITS).
NT Studies
ncBc’s Biblical Studies continue with those relating to the New Testament (NTS or NT Studies).
Theology
Theology encompasses studies related to both Historical Theology (HTh) and Systematic Theology (STh).
Humanities
Humanities concern knowledge gained from studies in History (especially ANE, Ancient Greek, Hellenistic, and Ancient Roman), Literature, and Philosophy (especially the Disciplines, Ancient Philosophy, and Modern Philosophy).
Ministry Wisdom
Although our curriculum includes no formal ‘practical ministry’, we have a growing body of wisdom arising from our day-to-day conversations revolving around biblical theology (and other formal, academic studies), and resting upon the faith tradition.
